For many housewives, the question will always be relevant – what can be quickly prepared for lunch or dinner? In this case, a meat pie on puff pastry is a great solution. Of course, you can buy ready-made dough and not bother. But homemade is always tastier, and it's not as hard and time-consuming to prepare. The pie is very flavorful, crispy, and moderately juicy.

Ingredients:

Filling:

  • minced meat - 500 g
  • onion - 240 g
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • soy sauce
  • coriander, black pepper

For the dough:

  • water - 200 ml
  • flour - 280-300 g
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • butter - 60-100 g

Method of preparation:

1. The dough. Mix the flour and baking powder.

2. Add salt and sugar to the water. Stir until completely dissolved.

3. Pour the water into the flour and knead a soft dough. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and leave for 10-15 minutes.

4. Filling. Cut the onion into small cubes. Fry until soft in vegetable oil and butter.

5. Prepare the minced meat. Put it to the onion and fry for a few minutes.

6. Chop the garlic and add to the minced meat.

7. Season the minced meat with pepper, soy sauce, or salt and coriander. Cool the minced meat to room temperature.

8. Meanwhile, divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out one part thinly in the shape of a rectangle. Evenly brush the dough layer with melted butter.

9. Roll up both sides of the dough to the center. Brush one half with butter. Cover with the other half and brush with butter again. Roll the dough into a square.

10. Do the same with the second part of the dough.

11. Roll out the first part of the dough depending on the size of the baking dish. Put it in the greased mold, forming the sides.

12. Spread the filling evenly.

13. Roll out the second part of the dough. Cover the pie and secure the sides.

14. Mix the rest of the butter with the egg yolk. Brush the cake with the resulting mixture and make punctures in it with a fork. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

15. Bake for 40-445 minutes at 180 degrees.
