Ukrainian chef and food blogger Olha Matvii shared a recipe for a perfect breakfast dish on her YouTube channel – a cottage cheese casserole with berries, without a gram of flour, which is simple and quick to prepare and melts in your mouth.
Recommendations from the expert:
- add well-whipped whites to the cottage cheese dough
- it is best to bake the casserole in separate iron molds, but in silicone molds the dough will not bake well, and the top will become crusty
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese – 500 g
- Eggs – 3 pcs
- Milk – 100 ml
- Corn starch – 60 g
- Powdered sugar – 3 tbsp
- Berries – to taste
- Salt – a pinch
Method of preparation:
- Separate the yolks from the whites.
- Put the cottage cheese in a blender, but you can also grind it through a sieve, pour in the milk, add the cornstarch and powdered sugar, add the yolks, and beat well until smooth.
- Whisk the egg whites with salt until peaky and add very carefully to the curd dough, mixing well.
- Cover the portioned molds with parchment, pour the batter, and sprinkle with berries.
- Put the dessert in a preheated oven for 1 hour at 180 degrees.
- Then take it out and let it cool completely – about 1-2 hours.
Dessert will be a great addition to tea, coffee, and cocoa.
