Fried and stewed potatoes are dishes that almost everyone loves and cooks. The important thing when cooking with potatoes is to choose the right variety for a particular dish, so that, for example, the potatoes do not fall apart when fried, and so that they boil well when mashed.
Cook Victoria (cook_with_me_at_home ) shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious stewed potatoes in a pan with pickles and meat, which you can prepare in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- meat - 350 g
- oil - for frying
- potatoes - 10-12 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc.
- pickled cucumbers - 2 pcs.
- tomato paste - 1.5 tbsp.
- garlic - 4 cloves.
- spices: salt, pepper - to taste
- water - 200 ml
- sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- greens - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the meat into strips.
2. Cut the potatoes into slices, the onion into half rings, and the cucumbers into half rings.
3. Pour enough oil into a deep frying pan to cover the bottom. When both the pan and the oil are hot, add the meat and fry over high heat until golden brown.
3. Add the potatoes, fry stirring until the potatoes are browned. Add onions and cucumbers, stir and cook for 2-5 minutes.
4. Pour in the tomato paste, spices, garlic, water, stir, reduce the heat, cover and simmer until the potatoes are tender - about 20 minutes.
5. Add sour cream, greens, mix and turn off!
