Marinade for fish: the 5 most dangerous ingredients that will ruin it
If you want to cook really tasty, juicy fish, for example, for a light and quick dinner instead of heavy meat, be sure to do so. But it is very important to choose a good marinade that will not spoil the delicate taste and flavor of the fish.
Today, FoodOboz editorial team will tell you about the most common mistakes in making fish marinade and what not to add to prevent it from becoming dangerous.
1. Mayonnaise
Forget about this product altogether, it is not suitable for marinades or salads. But if you are very fond of it and still decide to add it to the marinade, the result will not be long in coming – your fish will be tasteless.
2. Vinegar
Be extremely careful with acid for marinating fish. If you "overdo it" a little, the fish can be tough and lose its delicate flavor.
3. Spices
You don't need to add all the spices from the shelf to the marinade; you can limit yourself to rosemary, thyme, or even a bunch of dill. Add a little salt and freshly ground pepper, and the fish is good friends with onions.
4. Sauces
If you are marinating fish with soy sauce, do not use salt, otherwise, the dish will be very salty and you will simply spoil a healthy and tasty product.
5. How long to marinate
It is not necessary to leave the fish for 5-10 hours or even a day to marinate. 30 minutes will be enough.
