If you have mashed potatoes left over from last night's dinner, don't rush to throw them away. Of course, mashed potatoes don't taste good when warmed up, but they can be used to make another delicious dish.
We're talking about kartoplyanyky, or potato pancakes, which are sure to please everyone. A food blogger with the nickname goptarenkonatali shared how to cook them correctly on Instagram. She claims that this dish has one significant drawback: people will ask for it too often.
Ingredients
- peeled potatoes - 600 g
- sulguni cheese - 180 g
- flour - 4 tbsp
- egg - 1 pc
- salt - 1 tsp.
- dried garlic - 1 tsp
- oil for frying
Method of preparation
1. Boil, mash and let peeled potatoes cool.
2. Add egg, flour, salt, dried garlic and 90 grams of finely grated cheese. Stir until smooth.
3. Cut the rest of the cheese into cubes.
4. Form balls with wet hands, flatten them and put a piece of cheese inside.
5. Wrap it up so that the cheese is in the middle of the ball.
6. Roll in flour and form a potato pancake in the same way as a cottage cheese pancake.
7. Fry over medium heat until golden brown.
8. Put them on a paper towel.
