Biscuits are the perfect tea and coffee treat that everyone loves, from the most basic – shortbread and oatmeal – to biscotti and Viennese. Even at home, with a minimum of ingredients, you can easily make delicious cookies, for example, without yeast, eggs, or milk.
Cook Yuliia Symonchuk shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, lean cookies with a nut filling that takes only 20 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:
- flour – 400 g
- starch – 140 g
- water – 150-200 ml
- oil – 140 ml
- sugar – 4-5 tbsp
- salt – 1/2 tsp
- baking powder – 2 tsp
For the filling:
- nuts – 150-200 g
- sugar – 3-4 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Add the baking powder, starch, salt, and sugar to the sifted flour, and mix well.
2. Add the oil and water.
3. Knead the dough, it should be tender, not "clogged".
4. Roll out a layer of dough, sprinkle with chopped nuts and sugar, and roll up and cut into pieces.
5. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake the cookies at 180 C for 20 minutes.
It is better to serve the cookies cold!
