How to properly fry potatoes in a pan so that they do not stick and do not burn: secrets from the cook
The simplest and most budget-friendly product that is the main ingredient in many dishes is potatoes. Most often, they are boiled, mashed, baked, zrazy, fried, and added to salads and gratins.
Culinary expert Mykola Liulko shared on his YouTube channel the secrets of making delicious fried potatoes that won't stick to the pan (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Tips from the cook:
1. Always choose smooth potatoes for frying – they have less starch and will fry perfectly without burning.
2. Cut the potatoes into slices, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes, then put them in a colander and rinse well with boiling water.
3. Dry, pour plenty of oil into a frying pan and add the potatoes. Fry them for about 5 minutes over high heat, and then you can stir them.
4. Add the butter to the potatoes, continue to fry until tender, and add salt at the end.
5. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes, fry it in oil in another pan until golden brown, and add it to the potatoes, mix – and you can serve a delicious and fragrant dish.
