Quick cherry puffs: a recipe from ready-made puff pastry

When you don't have the time or inclination to prepare dough and bake, but you still want pies, there is a very simple alternative. Namely, lazy puffs made from ready-made puff pastry. They can be filled with either salty or sweet. All you have to do is wrap it in dough and quickly bake it in the oven.
Food blogger Khrystyna Petrash (kristy_cookery) shared a recipe for quick puffs with cherries from ready-made puff pastry on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- puff pastry - 1 p (900 g)
- egg yolks - 1 pc
- cherries - 500-550 g
- water - 250 ml + 50 ml
- sugar - 4 tbsp
- starch - 3 tbsp
- powdered sugar
Method of preparation:
1. First you need to cook the cherry filling. If you use frozen cherries, defrost them first. Then mix the berries with 250 ml of water and sugar. Bring to a boil.
2. While the cherries are cooking, dilute the starch in 50 ml. Add the mass when the cherries boil. Cook until thickened. Cool the finished filling.
3. The next step is to work with the dough. Roll it out lightly and cut it into triangles, like croissants.
4. Put the filling on the dough triangles and roll them into a roll. (Puffs can be of different shapes, it all depends on your desire).
5. Put the puffs on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Brush with egg yolk.
6. Bake the puffs for 20-25 minutes.
7. Sprinkle the finished puffs with powder.
