Pickled tomatoes in 5 minutes: the perfect barbecue appetizer
The barbecue season is in full swing. And, as you know, vegetables are the perfect accompaniment to kebabs. If the hostesses have already started marinating meat for barbecue, why not do the same with vegetables?
This is exactly what a food blogger with the nickname ann and food thought. On her Instagram, she explained how to make pickled tomatoes and spend only 5 minutes on it.
Ingredients:
- Tomatoes – 400 gr
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Purple onion – 1 pc
- Basil
Ingredients for the marinade:
- Olive oil – 3 tbsp
- Honey – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the tomatoes into halves. If large, cut into quarters.
2. Cut the onion into half rings and add to the tomatoes.
3. In a separate container, combine all the ingredients for the marinade and mix well.
4. Pour the marinade over the tomatoes, add fresh basil and mix.
