How to make a crispy seasonal galette with juicy strawberries: better than any cake

Juicy seasonal strawberries are the perfect base for delicious desserts. For example, a crispy galette. It only requires a very simple dough that you can make in a matter of minutes.
The idea of making a crispy galette with strawberries was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Movchan (katarina_movchan). Cream cheese goes perfectly with the berry.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour – 200 g
- butter (cold) – 80 g
- sugar – 2 tbsp
- salt – a pinch
- egg – 1 pc
- cold water – 1 tbsp
Ingredients for the filling:
- cream cheese – 150 g
- sugar – 2 tbsp
- corn starch – 1 tbsp
- strawberries
Method of preparation:
1. Grind the flour, sugar, salt, and butter into crumbs (you can do this with a blender or by hand).
2. Add the egg and water.
3. Knead the soft dough.
4. Wrap in plastic wrap.
5. Leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
6. Add sugar and starch to the cream cheese, and mix well.
7. Cut the strawberries into slices.
8. Put the dough on the parchment paper on which the galette will be baked.
9. Roll out 0.5 cm thick.
10. Spread with cream cheese, not reaching the edges by 3 cm, put strawberries.
11. Wrap the edges.
12. Sprinkle with almond flakes if desired.
13. Bake at 180 degrees for 45-40 minutes.
14. Let it cool down.
15. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
