Hearty casserole of young cabbage: a recipe for a budget dish

Young cabbage is a great base for a variety of dishes. It is healthy and quite affordable. This product is perfect for making a hearty casserole. After baking, the vegetable remains slightly crispy and goes very well with the dough. And to make the texture fluffy and tender, the product contains mayonnaise.
The idea of cooking a hearty cabbage casserole was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria (mika_nelegalkina).
Ingredients for the dough:
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- mayonnaise (you can replace a few spoons with sour cream) - 7 tbsp
- flour - 150 g
- salt / seasonings - to taste
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- oil for greasing the mold
Ingredients for the filling:
- head of small cabbage
- onion - 1 pc.
- eggs - 1 pc.
- mayonnaise - 4-5 tbsp
- salt / spices - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the cabbage, salt and mash well. Leave it while the dough is being prepared.
2. Beat the eggs and mayonnaise (sour cream), add salt, baking powder, flour and mix everything.
3. Finely chop the onion and fry over low heat.
4. Mix the cabbage and onion, add the egg, mayonnaise, spices, and mix again.
5. Cover the bottom of the mold with parchment, and grease with vegetable oil.
6. Pour most of the dough into the mold and spread it out, put the cabbage filling on top, and pour the rest of the dough again. Sprinkle more sesame seeds on top.
5. Put in the oven for 45-50 minutes at 170 degrees.
