Easier than pizza: lazy pita bread lasagne with a delicious filling
Lasagna is a tasty and satisfying dish that can be prepared in different ways, with sheets and replacing them with other ingredients, such as pita bread. As for the filling, it is in the classic version with meat and delicious bechamel sauce.
Cook Anastasiia shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious pita bread lasagna that you can prepare in just 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
- Pita bread – 2 packages
Bechamel:
- butter – 75 g
- flour – 1 tbsp
- nutmeg – 1/4 tsp
- salt – 1/3 tsp
- milk – 700 ml
Bolognese:
- onion – 1 pc
- carrot – 1 pc
- minced meat – 400 g
- tomato paste – 2 tbsp
- garlic – 3 cloves
- butter
- salt – a pinch
- black pepper – a pinch
- oregano – a pinch
- hard cheese – 200 g
Method of preparation:
1. Bechamel sauce: melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the flour, and stir with a whisk until the flour is completely dissolved in the butter. Then pour in the milk and stir vigorously with a whisk until it boils. Add nutmeg and salt, and let the sauce cool slightly.
2. Bolognese: Fry the onion in a little oil until golden brown. Add the carrots and stew them with the onions for 5 minutes. Add the minced meat, and garlic, stir, and fry until almost cooked with the vegetables, making sure to stir and break up the lumps of minced meat thoroughly. Add tomato paste, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Pour 300 ml of water, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Grease a baking dish and put the pita bread, then the filling, sauce, and repeat until you run out of ingredients. Pour the remaining bechamel on top and sprinkle with cheese.
4. Put in the oven for 45 minutes at 180 C, and cook for 30 minutes under foil and 15 minutes without.
Let the dish cool slightly before serving.
