Cherry clafoutis: recipe for a fascinating French dessert

Looking at the name of this dish, it may seem that clafoutis is something very complicated and sophisticated. But in fact, cherry clafoutis is just a simple type of pastry that can be safely classified as a quick one. It is a dessert that is simultaneously similar to a casserole, a pie, and an egg mousse.

Food blogger Alex Mil shared how to make cherry clafoutis on Instagram. He also added that this dessert tastes perfect in summer.

Ingredients

  • sweet cherries - 400 gr
  • white liquid yogurt - 160 gr
  • milk - 50 ml
  • flour - 100 gr
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g
  • sugar - 50 g

Method of preparation

1. Pour milk into a bowl, add eggs and white liquid yogurt. Stir until smooth.

2. Add flour, vanilla sugar and white sugar. Stir until smooth.

3. Grease a baking dish with butter.

4. Mix the berries with the starch.

5. Pour a little batter on the bottom, add the berries, and pour the rest of the batter on top. The berries should be covered.

6. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
