Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian pastry. It is usually made from yeast dough. But if you want to make the dish more dietary and low-calorie, you should use rice flour and choose cottage cheese for the base for the boats.

Ingredients for the cake:

  • cottage cheese - 200 g
  • rice flour - 50 g
  • eggs - 1 pc
  • salt

Ingredients for the filling:

  • cheese - 30 g
  • Suluguni cheese - 60 g
  • quail eggs 2 pcs (2 chicken yolks)

Ingredients for the cakes:

1. Combine all the ingredients for the crust and form 2 boats with a recess for the filling.

2. Place in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

Preparation of the filling:

1. Mix grated cheese with cottage cheese.

2. Take out the half-cooked boats, put the filling in them and put in the oven for another 10 minutes.

3. Take out the boats, make a recess for the yolk, and put one quail egg (or chicken yolk).

4. Return to the oven for 2 minutes.

5. The most delicious khachapuri is when it is hot.

6. Before putting it in the oven for the first time, grease the shuttle with beaten egg yolk – the color will be much better and more even.
