Sugar bagels that will work the first time: step-by-step recipe

Sugar bagels are great with coffee or tea. Their taste is well known to everyone since childhood, and for many, they still remain a favorite delicacy.

A food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina cooking knows exactly how to make bagels that will turn out the first time. On Instagram, she shared how to properly prepare the dough so that the bagels are fluffy.

Ingredients:

  • Margarine or butter - 200 gr
  • Sour cream - 200 gr
  • Sugar - 100 gr
  • Flour - 500 g
  • Soda - ½ tsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tsp
  • Jam, jam, poppy seeds, condensed milk, chocolate, or any other filling of your choice

Method of preparation:

1. Melt the margarine or butter. Pour into a deep bowl. Add sour cream and mix.

2. Add baking soda slaked with vinegar, mix and add sugar, and mix again.

3. Add ½ of the flour and mix with a whisk. Add the rest of the flour, mix with a spoon, and then knead on a floured surface for a few minutes. The dough should be elastic and not stick to your hands.

4. Divide the dough into 5 equal pieces of approximately 200 grams each. Roll each piece into a circle 1-2 mm thick and divide into 8 equal parts.

5. Put the filling on each triangle and roll up the bagel. Dip each piece in sugar and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment.

6. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
