Lazy dumplings with sour cream
If you don't have time to mess around with cheesecakes, lazy dumplings are a great alternative. This is an elementary dough dish that can be made salty or sweet. You don't need to mold it for a long time and invent a filling – everything is elementary simple and delicious.
A very quick idea for making lazy cottage cheese dumplings was shared by maryna_ivash. It was posted on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese – 350 g
- eggs – 1 pc
- sugar – 60 g
- vanilla sugar – 10 g
- flour – 100 g in the dough and 2 tbsp for rolling
Method of preparation:
- Boil one and a half to two liters of water.
- Mix cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg.
- Beat with an immersion blender until smooth and creamy.
- Add flour and mix to form a dough.
- Sprinkle the surface with flour, separate a part of the dough, and make a sausage 3-4 centimeters in diameter.
- Cut into pieces of 2.5-3 centimeters.
- Put the dumplings in boiling water and stir immediately to prevent them from sticking.
- Cook for 8 minutes.
- Add butter to the hot dumplings and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Mushroom gravy for lazy dumplings
Ingredients for the gravy :
- mushrooms – 400-500 g
- water – 1 cup + 100 ml
- flour – 1 tbsp
- sour cream – 200 ml
- salt, pepper, basil to taste
- herbs
Method of preparation:
- Peel the mushrooms, and cut them into large pieces.
- Fry until golden brown, then pour a glass of water over them and simmer for 15-20 minutes, covered.
- Dissolve the flour in 100 ml of cold water, add sour cream, mix, and add to the mushrooms.
- Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat, add the herbs, stir, and set aside.
- When serving, pour this sauce over the lazy dumplings.
