Basic strudel in a hurry: how to cook it correctly

Strudel can be called a traditional autumn pastry because it is during this period that the fruits that can be used to make the dessert, such as apples and pears, ripen. There are many techniques, but if you are short on time, you should use the simplest one. You can take ready-made puff pastry and make the filling in a frying pan.

A simple strudel recipe

Ingredients:
- frozen puff pastry - 1 pack
- apples (sweet) - 4-5 pieces
- pears - 1 piece (600 grams of chopped apples and pears in total), more if desired
- raisins - 50 g
- cognac/rum - 20-30 g
- breadcrumbs - 75 grams
- butter - 40 grams in breadcrumbs
- butter - 70-100 grams for greasing the dough
- sugar - 50 grams in breadcrumbs
- sugar - 50 grams for apples
- chopped almonds (flour) - 50 g
- flour for rolling out the dough
- lemon
- cinnamon - optional
- egg - for greasing
- homemade ice cream
Method of preparation:

1. Thaw the dough at room temperature.
2. Peel the apples and pear, cut them into random pieces, sprinkle with lemon juice.
3. Rinse the raisins with water several times and soak in alcohol (then drain it and dry the raisins).

4. Grind the almonds into flour.
5. Make croutons from white bread and grind them in a blender when they cool down.

6. Fry the croutons in butter, adding sugar and cinnamon (optional).
7. Add the sugar, almond flour, raisins, and cold breadcrumbs to the apples.

8. Cut the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out very thinly and place on a towel.
9. Grease the dough with melted butter and put the filling inside.

10. Grease the dough constantly with oil after wrapping.
11. Roll the strudel, seam side down.
12. Bake for 35-45 minutes until tender.

13. Brush with a beaten egg 5 minutes before cooking.
