No need to steam cabbage: lazy cabbage rolls for dinner

Cabbage rolls can be an ideal dish for lunch and dinner, and you don't need to steam cabbage for them. You can simply chop the cabbage finely and add it to the minced meat and rice.
The cook shared a recipe on Instagram for delicious lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage, onions, and tomato paste.
Ingredients:
- minced meat – 600 g
- cabbage – 500 g
- onion – 1 pc (large)
- egg – 1 pc
- salt – 1 tsp
- round rice – 100 g
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp
For frying:
- onions – 2 pcs
- carrots – 1 pc
For the sauce:
- sour cream 20% – 150 g
- tomato paste – 2 tbsp
- hot water – 500 g
- salt – 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the cabbage, cover with boiling water, and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water, put the cabbage in a strainer, let the water drain completely, and cool the cabbage.
2. Rinse the rice, cover it with boiling water, and cook for 10 minutes. Add the onion, rice, and cabbage to the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add the egg, mix well.
3. Form the minced meatballs, place in a baking dish, and bake for 30 minutes at 200°C.
5. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent, add the carrots, and fry for a few minutes. Put the onions and carrots on the cabbage rolls.
6. Mix sour cream with tomato paste and salt, and add hot water.
7. Pour the sauce over the lazy cabbage rolls and bake for another 30-45 minutes.
