Fluffy pancakes with an unusual ingredient: we tell you what you need to add to the dough
Pancakes are an ideal breakfast dish that can be prepared very easily and in just 10-15 minutes. The most important thing is to make a good dough, which determines the taste and structure of the dish.
Cook Valentyna Saienko shared a recipe for delicious, fluffy pancakes with pumpkin puree on Instagram.
To make the pancakes round in shape, put the spoon nose forward, and if you want oval, put the spoon sideways.
To make them soft and fluffy, add baking soda and warm kefir!
Ingredients:
- Pumpkin puree – 80 g
- Flour – 150 g
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Kefir – 150 g
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – a pinch
- Egg – 1 pc
- Soda – on the tip of a teaspoon
- Butter - 2 tbsp.
- Spices (cinnamon, ginger)
Method of preparation:
1. For the mashed potatoes: bake the pumpkin, sprinkle with a little sugar, and mash until smooth or mash with a fork.
2. Dough: combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, spices, baking soda and mix well until smooth.
3. In a separate container, mix the egg, mashed potatoes, warm kefir, melted butter and stir until smooth.
4. Next, just mix the two masses, trying to do it quickly and without unnecessary movements to make the mass more airy. The dough will be thick, but if it is too thick (depending on the flour), add a couple of tablespoons of kefir.
5. Fry the pancakes over medium heat in a greased frying pan.
Serve the pancakes with sour cream, honey, or jam, and they are also delicious with caramel and nuts.
