Fluffy British scones: how to make scones

Scones are a very popular pastry in Britain. They are butter-based scones, which makes them fluffy and tender. The bright aroma and flavor of cinnamon perfectly complement the dough.
The idea of making cinnamon scones was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maryna Pekarina (marina_pecarina).
Ingredients:
- flour – 300 g
- sugar – 45 g
- baking powder – 1 tbsp
- ground cinnamon – 1 tsp
- salt – 1/4 tsp
- butter (frozen cubes) – 90 g
- cream 10-15% (or milk in half with heavy cream) – 125 ml
- eggs – 1 pc
- vanilla extract – 1 tsp
- cinnamon drops – 3/4 cup (shortbread small brown cookies)
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Mix dry ingredients with a whisk - flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cinnamon.
3. Add the butter to the dry mixture and cut into fine crumbs.
4. Mix the egg with milk (cream with milk) and vanilla extract and add to the crumbs.
6. Stir, and add cinnamon drops.
7. Knead the dough – it should come together in a layer.
8. Put the dough on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Flatten it out with your hands into a round layer 25 centimeters in diameter. Cut into 8 pieces and place them on the baking sheet at a distance from each other.
9. Bake the scones for 20 minutes. They should be slightly golden.
10. Cool slightly on a wire rack and serve warm.
