Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko has shared a recipe for a delicious French onion soup that everyone will love on his website.
Ingredients:
- onions – 4 pcs
- water – 1.5 liters
- butter – 50 g
- dry white wine – 50 ml
- flour – 1 tbsp
- sunflower oil – 1 tbsp
- hard cheese – 100 g
- bay leaf – 2-3 pcs
- salt, pepper – to taste
- Bread – 4 slices
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings.
2. Pour the oil into a saucepan and add the butter, add the chopped onion, fry it over medium heat until it becomes soft, and season with salt.
3. Add the flour to the onions and stir.
4. Then pour in the dry white wine and evaporate for 2-3 minutes, then add water and salt.
5. Fry the bread until golden brown.
6. Pour the prepared soup into an ovenproof bowl, put the toasted bread on top, and sprinkle with cheese. Put the soup in the oven for 5 minutes at 180 C.
