Better than forshmak: easy herring pate in 5 minutes
Herring is a budget-friendly fish that can be salted, pickled, added to salads, and even made into a paste, a spread. Herring goes well with eggs, processed cheese, and even apples. The process of preparing such an appetizer will take you no more than 10 minutes.
Food blogger Maria (mariya_partyka) shared a recipe for herring pate on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- herring - 400 g
- onion - 90 g
- apples - 90 g
- boiled eggs - 2 pcs
- butter - 80 g
- sugar - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the eggs and cut them in half.
2. Chop the herring and onion and peel and chop the apples.
3. Put all the ingredients in a blender bowl, add butter, sugar and vinegar. Beat everything until smooth.
