In summer, pies and cakes are best made with seasonal berries. It is better to make either shortcrust or liquid dough, or you can use ready-made puff pastry.

The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a berry pie on a liquid dough, which is baked in the oven for 45 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Cherries - 750 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Flour - 150 g
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Melted butter - 60 g
  • Cream 10% - 200 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the cherries, remove the pits and dry them. Add sugar and mix.

2. Mix the remaining 150 g of sugar with the flour and vanilla sugar. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and crack the eggs into it. Mix all the ingredients until smooth. Add the melted butter and cream and mix until smooth.

3. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour. Put the berries in the mold. Pour the batter over the cherries.

4. Bake at 200°C for 40-45 minutes until golden brown, check the readiness of the dough with a toothpick (the dough is ready when nothing sticks to the toothpick).

Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar!
