Hearty lunch for a penny: how to cook juicy minced meatballs for porridge, potatoes or pasta

For lunch, juicy meatballs are ideal for potatoes, porridge or pasta. For the base, you will need ordinary minced meat. Sour cream gravy will add juiciness to the meatballs.

The idea of cooking juicy minced meatballs for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Ivanna with the nickname ivanka.family. To keep the meat in shape, add rice.

Ingredients:

  • minced meat - 500 g
  • onion, garlic - 1 pc.
  • boiled rice - 100 g
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • starch - 1 tbsp
  • flour
  • spices - salt, pepper

Ingredients for frying:

  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • bell pepper - 1/2
  • tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
  • sour cream - 3 tbsp
  • hot water - 0.5 liters
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Add chopped onion, garlic, boiled rice, egg, starch, spices to the minced meat.

2. Mix well.

3. Form meatballs with wet hands.

4. Roll each of them in flour.

5. Separately, fry the carrots and onions in a hot frying pan in vegetable oil until soft.

6. Add tomato sauce and sour cream.

7. Then add the flour, mix quickly and pour hot water.

8. Add the spices, mix and place the meatballs.

9. After 10 minutes, turn the products to the other side and simmer under the lid for 20 minutes.

10. Sprinkle the finished dish with greens.
