Healthy avocado hummus: better than any spread
Hummus is an extremely popular cold appetizer and a favorite of many people. The main ingredient of the dish is chickpeas, which are combined with savory spices. For those who like delicate and mousse-like textures, you can add a little avocado to hummus to make a low-calorie and quite healthy snack that is better than any spread.
The recipe for hummus with avocado was shared by chef Vasyl Mishlen on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- avocado – 2 pcs
- canned chickpeas – 1 b
- garlic – 3 cloves
- chili flakes – 0.5 tsp
- dried basil – 1 tsp
- lemon juice – 1 tsp
- cumin – 1 tsp
- black pepper – 1 tsp
- salt – 1 tsp
- water – 100 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and core the avocado.
2. Strain the chickpeas.
3. Combine all the ingredients and spices. Beat with a blender until smooth.
4. Transfer to a container or jar and store in the refrigerator.
