Fish cakes that even children will like: how to cook minced fish correctly
Fish cutlets are a great substitute for high-calorie meat cutlets. They can be made from any fish or minced fish. Because in any case, they are dietary, hearty, and quite budget-friendly. The only important thing is to prepare the ingredients properly and use them in appropriate proportions. In this case, the fish cakes will be perfect and even children will like them.
Food blogger Juliia Symonchuk (cook_julija_simonchuk) shared a recipe for fish cakes in the oven on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- pollock fish fillet – 500 g
- egg – 1 pc
- milk – 100 g
- white bread – 170 g
- onion – 30 g
- salt, pepper – to taste
- breadcrumbs – 100 g
Method of preparation:
1. Pre-soak the bread in milk, then squeeze out the excess liquid.
2. Put the bread, fish fillet, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper in a blender bowl. Blend until smooth.
3. Put the resulting mass in a dish and let it rest for 20 minutes.
4. After that, form patties with wet hands.
5. Roll the patties in breadcrumbs and place in a baking dish covered with parchment.
6. Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Or you can fry it in a pan.
7. Serve the cutlets with mashed potatoes, pasta, or your favorite side dish or sauce.
