Apricots in their own juice for the winter: we share the best recipe
One of the most delicious summer fruits is apricot, which can be the basis for delicious dishes ranging from pies to sauces and jams. Apricots are also often simply preserved in their own juice, made into jellies and compotes.
Cook Ivanna shared a recipe for delicious canned apricots with sugar and citric acid in her own juice on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- apricots
- water - 1 liter
- sugar - 450 g
- lemon juice - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the apricots and cut them in half, remove the pits.
2. Put the halves into the jar tightly, but do not press them down.
3. Bring the water to a boil and pour over the apricots, cover and leave for 15 minutes.
4. After that, pour the syrup into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid, stir and put on the fire, bring to a boil.
5. Pour the prepared syrup over the apricots and preserve.
Be sure to turn the jars upside down and leave them at room temperature until they cool completely.
