The zucchini season has already begun in Ukraine, and everyone's refrigerator shelves are filled with this vegetable. In order to prevent it from spoiling, housewives begin to prepare a variety of dishes, such as casseroles, pancakes, waffles, canned food, etc.

But a food blogger with the nickname recepti dariko went even further. On Instagram, she suggested making a zucchini and melted cheese spread, assuring that such a dish would definitely not leave anyone indifferent.

Zucchini and cheese spread: a dish you've never tasted before

Ingredients

  • Zucchini - 600 gr
  • Processed cheese - 2 pieces
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Oil - 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Black pepper

Method of preparation

1. Cut the zucchini into 2x2 cm cubes and put them in a frying pan with oil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes under the lid, stirring occasionally.

2. Add chopped garlic, salt and pepper, stir and simmer for 5 minutes. If the zucchini is ready and there is still a lot of juice, leave it on the fire for a few minutes without a lid, just make sure that it does not fry.

3. Put the zucchini in a blender. Dice the processed cheese and add it to the still warm zucchini. Blend until smooth.

4. Pour into a jar with a lid and refrigerate overnight. The spread can be served warm, but when it gets cold, its structure will change to a thicker one.
