Fennel is a rather specific vegetable that not everyone likes to taste. Even though it is a very healthy, dietary product that can be eaten raw, baked, boiled, stewed, and added to soups, broths, and dishes with it acquire an absolutely amazing taste and aroma.

Popular Ukrainian chef Marco Cervetti explained on his YouTube channel how to eat fennel and what to cook with it to keep it healthy.

"Dip it in olive oil and salt and enjoy. It's better to fry the top layer of the skin, but feel free to eat the rest. You can also cook fennel in a frying pan with garlic and Parmesan," the chef added.

Fennel is considered a dietary product

The chef also added that the green part (stems) of fennel is a great way to cope with heartburn.

"You just need to pour olive oil over it, eat it, and in a few minutes the heartburn will go away," said Cervetti.

How to cook fennel deliciously

Ingredients:

  • fennel - 200 g
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • Parmesan cheese - 15 g
  • olive oil - 30 g
  • salt - to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the fennel into medium pieces.
  2. Heat a frying pan, pour olive oil, add garlic, and fry it lightly.
  3. Then put the fennel in the pan, stir, add salt to taste, and cook until golden brown.
  4. At the very end, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

The dish is best served hot.
