What you can prepare without power: a balanced menu for the whole day

Currently, there are power outages in Ukraine. As a result, many people have problems with cooking because not everyone has gas stoves.

As a result, people have to cook using camping burners or eat food that does not require heat treatment. In such cases, a balanced diet is out of the question. That's why FoodOboz.ua decided to find out whether it is possible to prepare a balanced diet for the day without using electricity. It turns out that it is not difficult and very tasty.

3 meal options that do not require heat treatment

Breakfast

Option 1

Sandwiches. Bread or bread rolls with butter and cheese (can be replaced with herring/avocado/pate/cod liver) Supplements: vegetables, one fruit of your choice.

Option 2

Wrap cottage cheese, pepper, salt, dried garlic, greens and tomatoes in pita bread.

Option 3

Green buckwheat with vegetable milk, berries, nuts and flax seeds.

Snack

Option 1

Carrot sticks and hummus.

Option 2

Banana and seed mixture with additives-free yogurt.

Option 3

Cream cheese, Korean-style carrots and canned tuna wrapped in pita bread.

Lunch

Option 1

Steamed buckwheat with tuna or cod liver. Dried fruit for dessert.

Option 2

Freeze-dried soups or cereals. You can also steam couscous and add kelp to it.

Option 3

Steamed rice noodles with tofu cheese. Add tomatoes, peppers, soy sauce, honey and lemon juice.

Dinner

Option 1

Liver pate on bread rolls + vegetable salad.

Option 2

Mix boiled beets bought in the store with sauerkraut and canned beans. Add pickled cucumbers and season with a mixture of oil and mustard.

Option 3

Mix cod liver with boiled eggs. Serve on bread with a vegetable salad.
