What to stuff bell peppers with to make them delicious: the perfect dish for a hearty lunch

If you don't know what to quickly cook for dinner for the whole family, make stuffed peppers. Right now, the vegetable is juicy enough and has a moderate price, so you can safely use it. For the filling, you will need minced meat and cereal.

The idea of making hearty stuffed peppers for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Myroslava. You should clean vegetables from the seeds well.

Ingredients:

  • white pepper (small) -12 pcs.
  • corn - 250 g
  • pearl barley - 100 g
  • chicken fillet - 500 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • tomato paste - 100 g
  • flour - 2 tbsp
  • sour cream - 2 tbsp
  • salt, pepper, sugar
  • parsley
  • oil

Method of preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the washed pearl barley and leave for 20 minutes.

2. Cut the chicken and onion into random pieces and pass through a meat grinder.

3. Mix the minced meat with the onion and groats (drained), add the corn, chopped parsley, salt and pepper.

4. Cut or the tails of the peppers.

5. Remove the center.

6. Fill all the peppers with minced meat and cover with cut tails.

7. Fry the tomato paste in heated oil in a saucepan, add a little sugar, salt, flour, mix well and fry for 1-2 minutes (stirring constantly).

8. Pour cold water over everything and bring to a boil.

9. Add sour cream to taste.

10. Put the peppers in the sauce close to each other and cook over low heat for 35-40 minutes until they are soft.

11. To make the peppers stand upright in the pan, you need to cut off the tips of the peppers a little but without creating a hole.
