What to pickle cucumbers with to make them spicy and crispy: one simple ingredient
To ensure that pickled cucumbers for the winter have the perfect flavor and texture, you need to add more than just the marinade to the jar. Fresh bell peppers are a great addition. It will add a special piquancy and juiciness to the preservation.
The idea of cooking crispy cucumbers with bell peppers was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anastasia (anstasiya.tasty). The marinade is very simple.
Ingredients for the marinade (1 cup = 250 ml):
- 1 liter of water + 1.5 cups of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 not full glass of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of salt
This marinade is designed for 4 1 liter jars
1. Put on the bottom of the jars:
- garlic
- parsley
- peppercorns
- paprika on the tip of a knife (optional)
- Cut 1 bell pepper into strips
2. Next, put the small cucumbers (about 3 kg) in jars.
3. Add the bell peppers.
4. Pour hot marinade over 2/3 of the jars.
5. Pour 2 tbsp of oil into each jar, add the marinade.
6. Sterilize for 10-15 minutes.
7. Roll up and turn over until completely cooled.
