What to make with yesterday's mashed potatoes: a quick dish option
If you've made too many mashed potatoes and no one wants to eat them, you can make a delicious focaccia out of them. This dish is prepared very quickly in a frying pan. It is very satisfying and can even replace pizza.
The idea of cooking focaccia on potato dough was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Alex Mil (mil_alexx).
Ingredients:
- 330 g boiled potatoes
- 220 g of flour
- 30 g of hard cheese
- 90 g of mozzarella
- salt, pepper
- 10 g of oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Put the boiled potatoes, flour and 30 g of hard cheese in a bowl. Add a generous pinch of salt and ground pepper.
2. Knead the dough well and knead it into a homogeneous hard dough. Cut it into 6-8 equal pieces.
3. Roll out each piece and place a piece of mozzarella in the center.
4. Bend the edges and pinch them tightly. And roll it out again with a rolling pin.
5. Fry over low heat in vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides - about 3-4 minutes.
6. After frying, put them on a napkin to remove excess oil.
