Cold mashed potatoes are not very tasty as a side dish. But you shouldn't throw it away. It can be used to make other independent dishes. For example, potato pies.

The idea of making potato pies from yesterday's mashed potatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna with the nickname ann_.and_.food. The filling is very satisfying and juicy.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 1 kg.
  • flour - 80 g
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • minced meat - 300-350 g
  • onion - 1 large
  • salt
  • pepper
  • breadcrumbs or flour

Method of preparation:

1. Salt and boil the potatoes. Then drain and mash them. Skip this step if you already have mashed potatoes.

2. Let it cool down.

3. For the filling, fry the onion and add the minced meat and spices. Bring to readiness.

4. Add the egg and flour to the mashed potatoes and mix.

5. Form potato pies. Moister your hands with cold water to make it easier.

6. Roll in flour or breadcrumbs.

7. Fry over medium heat until golden brown.
