What to do with leftover sponge cake: an unusual use from a food blogger

Sponge cake recipe

Many people often find themselves in a situation where, after baking a cake, they have a sponge cake that is no longer needed. Of course, no one is going to eat it and you'll just have to throw it away. But don't be in a hurry - you can make delicious sweets from the leftover sponge cake. They are somewhat reminiscent of the taste of childhood.

An unusual idea was shared by food blogger Kateryna Kudliak. It was posted on her Instagram page.

For the glaze, melt the chocolate and butter

For decorating:

  1. Combine milk, butter, and cocoa in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cool.
  2. Grind the sponge cake in a blender.
