What to cook with cucumbers other than salad: a recipe for an unusual dish

Cucumbers with honey and in the oven is an unexpected combination, both in terms of the combination and the cooking technique. But as it turned out, this vegetable is not only suitable for salads and preservation.

On his official website, Ukrainian chef Yevhen Kopotenko presented a recipe for an unusual dish made from ingredients that make cucumbers unsurpassed. It's about baked cucumbers with honey (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

Ingredients:

• 400 g of cucumbers
• 20 g of sea salt
• 1 tbsp of honey
• 1 tbsp of lemon juice
• 2 sprigs of dill.

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the cucumbers well, remove the tails, and cut them in half lengthwise. It is advisable to use fresh young cucumbers. If this is not possible, then greenhouse cucumbers will do. But do not take long cucumbers, otherwise the taste of the dish will not be pronounced.

2. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the cucumber halves evenly on it. Then sprinkle them well with sea salt (you can also use regular salt). Put the baking sheet with the cucumbers in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

3. Put the finished baked cucumbers in a bowl and add honey, a little lemon juice, and finely chopped dill, mix well.
