What to cook pies with to make them fluffy and golden: a budget ingredient

Delicious pies should always be tender and fluffy. It depends on what the dough is made with. And if you used to choose kefir or whey, you should try adding mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

  • warm water - 2 cups
  • pressed yeast - 50 g or 1 tbsp of dry yeast (with a slide)
  • sugar - 3 tbsp
  • salt - 0.5 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 100 g
  • flour - 4 cups
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Ingredients for the filling:

  • potatoes with onions
  • apples with sugar

Cooking method:

1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water, add sugar, salt, mayonnaise, mix and add flour, kneading the dough.

2. Cover the dough with a towel and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour.

3. Meanwhile, prepare the salty filling: boil the potatoes and mash them, add the fried onions.

4. And the sweet filling: chop the apples finely and mix with sugar.

5. Divide the dough into pieces, form circles, put the filling inside and make pies.

6. Put them in a preheated frying pan and fry on each side until golden brown.
