Ingredients for the dough:

  • honey - 2 tbsp.
  • sugar - 200 g
  • butter - 100 g
  • flour - 500-600 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • soda - 1 tsp.
  • salt - a pinch
  • cream 30% - 700 ml (you can use sour cream)
  • sugar - 150 g (powdered sugar can be used)

Method of preparation:

1. Beat eggs with sugar with a mixer, add a pinch of salt. Beat for 3-5 minutes until thick and light.

2. Melt the honey and butter in a saucepan, do not boil, so that the beneficial properties of honey do not disappear. Add baking soda, stirring constantly, foam will appear – this is the reaction of baking soda with honey.

3. Remove from the heat and immediately add the beaten eggs to the mixture and mix. Let the mass cool, after 5 minutes add the flour and mix everything, first with a spatula. If it is difficult to use a spatula, add the rest of the flour and knead with your hands.

4. Roll out a dough roller, and divide it into 8 pieces. Sprinkle a plate with flour, put 8 dough balls, and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, cover with plastic wrap.

6. Prick the cake with a fork before baking. Bake each one for 4-5 minutes at 200 degrees. Remove the hot baked cake from the parchment when it cools and hardens.
