What can be cooked with filo dough: a quick dish without fuss

Filo dough has become a very popular product in modern gastronomy. It is perfect for making quick savory and sweet pastries. And you can buy filo in any store.

The idea of making filo dough rolls was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Movchan (katarina_movchan). The cook offers two options for delicious fillings.

Ingredients:

  • filo dough - 1 pack
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • melted butter - 100 g
  • sesame seeds and dried oregano for sprinkling

Ingredients for the filling:

  • boiled chicken - 300 g
  • cream cheese - 150 g
  • mozzarella - 120 g

Ingredients for the cheese filling:

  • cream cheese - 150 g
  • Adyghe cheese - 150 g
  • suluguni - 150 g

Method of preparation:

1. First, prepare the fillings: for the chicken, mix cream cheese, chopped chicken, and grated cheese.

2. For the cheese one, mix cream cheese, Adyghe cheese and grated suluguni.

3. Preheat the oven 180 degrees (if there is a convection mode, turn it on).

4. Brush the filo pastry sheet with melted butter.

5. Spread the filling on two edges and roll the edges of the dough with the filling to the center.

6. Transfer to a baking sheet covered with parchment.

7. Repeat with the rest of the filling.

8. Brush the top of the rolls with egg and sprinkle with chicken sesame seeds and dried oregano.

9. Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
