Versatile cherry sauce: a must have for winter

Instead of store-bought ketchups with chemicals, it's better to make a spicy sauce for the winter. It is perfect for meat and fish. The mass is quite thick, spicy and sweet: the perfect palette of flavors.

The idea of making a spicy cherry sauce for meat was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Zhanna with the nickname zhannakon75 .The most delicious thing to use is homegrown cherries.

Ingredients:

  • cherries without pits - 3 liters
  • garlic - 6 medium heads
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 21 tbsp
  • ground black pepper - 2 tsp
  • red pepper - 1 tsp
  • ground cloves - 1 tsp
  • curry seasoning - 1 pack
  • potato starch - 3-4 tbsp
  • water - 100 g (for starch)

Method of preparation:

1. Grind the cherries with garlic in a blender or pass through a meat grinder.

2. Add all the spices.

3. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring (after boiling).

4. Add potato starch.

5. Dilute with cold water.

6. Cook for another 10 minutes (after boiling).

7. Pour into jars and sterilize for 10 minutes.

8. Close with lids and cool.
