Smetannik is a popular dessert that every Ukrainian housewife knows about. The base can be made from crispy cottage cheese dough. And it is delicious to add juicy seasonal berries: raspberries, cherries, blueberries, and others,

The idea of making a fluffy sour cream pie on cottage cheese dough was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Daria with the nickname recepti dariko. You should get two doughs.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • cottage cheese - 150 g
  • milk - 5 tbsp
  • oil - 5 tbsp
  • sugar - 130 g
  • flour - 200 g
  • baking powder - 10 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • sour cream - 200 g
  • cottage cheese - 100 g
  • sugar - 130 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
  • flour - 2 cups
  • raspberries - 200 g (fresh or frozen), raspberries can be replaced with any other berry: blackberries, blueberries, currants, pitted cherries, etc.

Method of making the dough:

1. Mix cottage cheese with butter, milk and sugar.

2. Add flour and baking powder. Knead the dough.

3. Put the dough in the mold on the bottom and walls (put parchment on the bottom, and grease the walls with margarine).

Method of preparation of the filling:

1. Beat everything for the filling. Pour the filling over the dough.

2. Put the raspberries, trim the sides.

3. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven until golden brown for 40-45 minutes.

4. You can check for readiness by shaking it a little. A slight wobble in the center is acceptable.

5. Serve the dessert completely cooled.
