Rakott Krumpli is a traditional Transcarpathian dish with Hungarian roots. Simply put, it's a potato casserole with eggs, onions, and a sour cream-based filling. The main ingredient of the dish is piknytsya, or homemade sausage, which can also be replaced with ham. All the ingredients of the casserole are laid out in layers, so a wide baking dish with high sides is best for cooking.

Food blogger Olena shared an old recipe for the Transcarpathian-style Rakott Krumpli potato casserole on her Instagram page.
