Top 3 quick, tasty, healthy, and nutritious snacks for kids
Yogurt or cottage cheese (curd) with fruit
Choose a good yogurt or cottage cheese for your child, with no additives, no added sugar, and natural.
Add fruit to it as you wish or as your child wishes.
For more benefits and calories, add nut paste, coconut paste or flakes, chia seeds, or just grated nuts to the yogurt.
Microwave cheese omelette
The world's fastest omelet that cooks almost instantly.
Ingredients:
- chicken egg - 1 pc
- cream - 20 g
- hard grated cheese - 50 g
- a little chopped dill or spinach
- a pinch of sesame seeds.
How to prepare:
Add all ingredients to a glass, and mix well with a fork. Fill 1 or 2 silicone muffin tins, not to the brim. Put them in the microwave. But there is an important point here: microwave ovens are very different in power. For some, it will take 30 seconds, and for others, 2 minutes.
Pay attention to the readiness of the egg: for children under 5 years old, it is 100 percent.
The omelet is very tender and airy and goes well with Greek or thick white yogurt.
Nutritious toast for a child
There are many variations on this theme. The main thing here is the basis – for a child, it is better to choose whole-grain bread. If it is filled with raisins, nuts, flax, or sesame seeds, it will be ideal. In this case, all you need to do is spread butter on the toast and add hard cheese. The child will get more than 2 food groups for a snack.
You can also spread the toast with cream cheese and grate nuts on top or use a natural nut paste. You can also serve the toast with avocado and sesame seeds, or even better, make guacamole (mash an avocado, chop a tomato, add olive oil and a couple drops of lemon).
Your imagination can help you ensure that your child gets healthy food, even for a snack.
I would like to remind you that according to all international recommendations, a snack for both children and adults should consist of at least two food groups.
