The simplest recipe for sour cream cake: just add cookies
Making a traditional sour cream cake takes quite a bit of time because you need to bake two different cakes for this dessert. Therefore, it is worth using a simple alternative and making a popular cake with cookies. It bakes very quickly and is tender.

Ingredients for the base:
- shortbread cookies - 250 g
- butter - 100 g
Ingredients for the filling:
- sour cream - 500 g
- eggs - 3 pcs
- sugar - 80 g (adjust to your taste)
- vanilla sugar - to taste
- flour or starch - 3 tbsp
Method of preparation of the base:
1. To prepare, crush the cookies into crumbs, add the melted butter, and mix well.
2. Cover the bottom of the baking dish with foil and tamp the base.
3. Make sides and refrigerate.
Method of preparation of the filling:
1. Mix the eggs with the sour cream, add sugar, vanilla sugar, flour or starch and beat everything very well with a whisk.
2. Pour the filling onto the base and bake the sour cream cake at 190 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
3. Allow the cake to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for 4-6 hours.
4. Decorate the top to your liking.
