The perfect dumpling dough: what to add to make it successful
Dumplings are a delicious, hearty, and easy-to-prepare dish made from dough with meat filling. They can be made from different doughs, and not only meat can be used for the filling.
Cook Olga Matviy shared a recipe for a successful dough for delicious meat-filled dumplings on her YouTube channel.
It is better to make dumpling dough with kefir. It will make it elastic, but not hard!
Ingredients:
- Flour - 400 - 450 g
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Kefir - 200 ml
- Dill - 30 g
- Soda - 1 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
The filling:
- Onions - 2 pcs.
- Garlic to taste
- Minced meat - 400 - 500 g
- Salt, pepper, paprika, bay leaf - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. For the dough: beat the egg with kefir at room temperature, add baking soda, salt and chopped dill. After 3-4 minutes, add all the flour and knead the dough.
2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
3. Season the minced meat with salt, add the garlic, blended onion and spices.
4. Roll out the finished dough into a thin layer, make circles with a glass.
5. Put the filling, fold in half, without pressing the part to the minced meat, and connect the corners.
6. Bring water to a boil and boil the dumplings.
