A successful sponge cake is already more than half the battle in making a cake. To achieve the desired result, you should use boiling water. This ingredient will make the baking mass very airy.

The idea of making the perfect sponge cake with boiling water was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maria Khrypko (masha_hrypko_). The cakes can be used for any kind of cake.

Ingredients:

  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • sugar - 300 g
  • milk - 40 ml.
  • oil - 40 ml.
  • boiling water - 40 ml.
  • flour - 300 g
  • baking powder - 10 g

Method of preparation:

1. Beat the whites with sugar.

2. Add the yolks and beat well.

3. Mix the flour with the baking powder.

4. Add to the eggs and mix with a spatula.

5. Add oil, milk and boiling water.

6. Knead and put into the mold.

7. Bake at 165 degrees for about 40 minutes to 1 hour.

8. After cooling, remove from the mold, wrap in cling film, and leave in the refrigerator for several hours.

9. Then cut and assemble the cake.
