Ratatouille is a vegetable dish of French cuisine that became popular in our country after the release of the world-famous cartoon of the same name. It is also a very tasty and colorful dish that can decorate any table with its look and surprise with its taste.

A food blogger with the nickname tastystories feed knows exactly how to cook ratatouille. On Instagram, she told us which vegetables should be used to create this delicious rainbow dish.

Ingredients

  • zucchini - 1 pc
  • eggplant - 1 pc
  • red onion - 2 pcs
  • tomatoes - 3-4 pcs
  • tomato sauce or paste - 200 g
  • water - 200 ml
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil
  • hard cheese - 50-150 gr
  • basil - for decoration

Method of preparation

1. Cut all the vegetables into thin rings.

2. Put them in the baking dish one by one.

3. Sprinkle with salt.

4. Drizzle with oil.

5. Combine the tomato sauce with water and pour over the vegetables. The liquid should cover the bottom without reaching the middle of the vegetables.

6. Put in a preheated oven to 170 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

7. When serving, sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish with basil.
