Tastier than pilaf: crumbly rice with chicken cooked in the baking sleeve
Rice is the main ingredient for making delicious pilaf, porridge, delicate puddings, cutlets, and kharcho. There is a simple rule to follow when cooking rice: there should be as much water as rice, so that it will be crumbly.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious rice with chicken and spices, which is cooked in the baking sleeve.
Ingredients:
- Chicken legs – 6-8 pcs
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Smoked paprika – 1 tsp
- Seasoning for chicken – 1 tsp
- Dried garlic – 1 tsp
- Oil – 60 ml
- Rice (preferably basmati) – 300 g
- Onion –1 pc
- Carrot – 1 pc
- Tomato – 1 pc
- Garlic – 1 pc
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Water – 600 ml
- Sleeve for baking
Method of preparation:
1. Add salt, pepper, smoked paprika, dried garlic, and oil to the chicken legs. Mix and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Pour the rice, chopped onion, and tomato into the baking sleeve. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Add turmeric, salt, and chicken spices. Pour in the water and mix thoroughly.
4. Put the legs in the baking sleeve with the rice, add the garlic. Tie, make cuts, or put in a baking dish. Bake at 180C for 1 hour.
