Sponge cake that always works: the simplest technology
A perfect sponge cake feels like a springy pillow. And even after cooling, the dough should not fall off. If you don't get this result, you should use a simple but very effective technique.
It was shared by food blogger Oksana Poishla (o_poishla) on her Instagram page. This method involves kneading the dough in several stages and adding the ingredients gradually.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 5 pcs.
- sugar - 170 g
- vanilla sugar bourbon
- flour - 180 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- oil - 3 tbsp
- boiling water - 3 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Place the eggs in a large bowl and beat with a mixer at the highest speed for 7-9 minutes.
2. Slowly add sugar and beat for another 7-9 minutes until light air mass is formed.
3. Add the sifted flour and baking powder and mix gently with a spatula, moving from top to bottom.
4. Add the oil and mix. Then pour in boiling water.
5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish covered with parchment.
6. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes in the top-down mode.
