Sour cream pie with sardines: how to prepare a successful pastry
If you don't have enough time, you can make a simple pie. Any filling is suitable for it, both salty and sweet. A seasonal summer option would be a pie with eggs, green onions, and sardines. The latter ingredient gives the dish a great piquancy and flavor.
Food blogger Yulia (juli_co.ok) shared a recipe for egg, green onion and sardine pie on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- sour cream - 300 g
- eggs - 3 pcs
- oil - 3 tbsp.
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- salt - 0.5 tsp
- pepper - to taste
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 cup
Filling:
- sardines in their own juice - 2 b
- eggs - 3 pcs
- green onions - 1 bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Make the dough. First, separate the whites from the yolks.
2. Add salt and sugar to the whites. Beat with a mixer until peaks form.
3. Beat the yolks until stiff.
4. Add sour cream and oil to the yolks. Mix well.
5. Add the baking powder and the flour gradually. Mix until smooth.
6. Add the egg whites to the total mass and mix gently.
7. Make the filling. First, chop the onion and fry it in lard for about 3-4 minutes.
8. Mix the cooked onion with the sardines and boiled chopped eggs.
9. Pour half of the dough into a baking dish covered with parchment.
10. Add the filling.
11. Cover with the second half of the dough. Sprinkle with seasonings and sesame seeds.
12. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
